TALK BY THE GERMAN
CONSUL IN THE ROTARY
CLUB OF ESTEPONA. |
Last Wednesday, 14th May at 8 pm, in the meeting
rooms of the Hotel AGH Estepona, and as part of the
season of lectures organised for each Wednesday
by the Rotary Club of Estepona, the current
Consul General of Germany in Seville, Dr. Michael
Richtsteig, gave an excellent talk entitled “Germany
from the fall of the Wall up to unification”. The lecture
allowed us to understand that complicated process
from the point of view of an expert on the subject.
Beforehand, a welcome cocktail was served in the
meeting rooms of Hotel AGH and enjoyed by the 50
people who attended the talk.

GOLF AND THE ENVIRONMENT
CONFERENCE |
The Golf and the Environment Conference organised by
PROMOTUR obtains its final recognition after five editions and
stands as a bastion of reference within the sector.
Over 400
participants coming from countries such as Tunisia, Turkey
Egypt, Morocco or Sweden have arranged to meet in Malaga to
attend the lectures given by some 40 national and international
experts.
The “V Golf and the Environment Conference” of
Promotur has made common ground of the vision held by
everyone on the criteria for planning, design, creation and
management of golf facilities, with a special emphasis on
applying criteria of sustainability that respect the environment
and new technologies.
The inauguration of the Conference
took place with the presentation of the Report titled “Golf as a
Product of Tourism in Mediterranean Countries”, drawn up by
Mr. Andrés García, Manager of the Euromediterranean Centre for
Information, Innovation and Training in Tourism, dependent on
the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Malaga,
and Mr. Baltasar Fernández Ávila, Managing Director of GDT..

INAUGURATION OF THE NEW OFFICES
OF “GRUPO FARRO” AND “FARRO
TV”- INTERACTIVE REAL ESTATE AND
BUSINESS CHANNEL -. |
Last Thursday, 15th May “GRUPO FARRO”, with its chairman, Mr. Felipe
Arribas Rodríguez, presiding, inaugurated its new offices within the premises
of Hotel NH Alanda, along with its new project “FARRO TV” (an interactive
TV channel).
Cocktails were on offer for colleagues and friends, and no
detail was overlooked. Drinks were served on the Hotel’s terrace, and the
occasion was livened up by the music of Jorge Griñán from Mexico and the
Ana Maria Flamenco Show featuring La Chata.
The event was honoured with
the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Marbella, Mrs. Francisca Caracuel,
and notable figures from the business world such as Mr. Francisco Carbajo Álvarez, Vice-President of the Academy of Television Sciences and Arts,
amongst others.
“GRUPO FARRO”, established for over 25 years and with offices in
Madrid and Marbella, also edits its own magazine - “FARRO MAGAZINE”-
targeting a readership closely connected to the real estate sector,
construction and luxury items. |

MARBELLA IN PARIS |
El 7 de mayo, en el restaurante La Cascada
de Marbella, Nicolas Perrin delegado de
producción de France Bleu Paris, canal del
grupo Radio Nacional de Francia, presentó el
programa previsto en las ondas radiofónicas “France Bleu Paris – Ile de France” para el 17
del mismo mes y destinado a promocionar
Marbella y su feria.
A raíz de este programa
organizado por Andalucía Comunicación
y Mass media Publicidad, dos oyentes
franceses han ganado un viaje de una
semana en Marbella durante la feria.
Los ganadores estarán alojados en el hotel
Los Monteros, que ofrece el alojamiento
durante toda su estancia, y estarán invitados
al restaurante La Cascada para tomar allí las comidas que les apetezcan. Los dos
periodistas franceses, presentes durante 3
días en Marbella para preparar la emisión,
destacaron el poco de interés que prestaron las
instituciones ante un programa que tiene una
audiencia media de unos
300.000 oyentes.
Los ganadores franceses estarán presentes
en Marbella del 7 al 15 de junio, disfrutando
de la gastronomía, la feria y de la ciudad en
Marbella, y a su regreso contarán como ha
sido su estancia en Marbella en la radio en
Paris durante el programa del 22 de junio.
